So it's Sunday night again, blech, stupid impending Monday, oh well, at least the weekend was mildly entertaining, I spent Friday night with Aaron while JayB and Ryan watched the hockey game. At first all was good, Aaron was saving me from the sharks, unfortunately he eventually turned into a shark and proceeded to eat all my limbs, oh well, it takes much less energy to play dead, so I suppose it worked out pretty well for me in the end.
Saturday morning led to a trip to the pet stores, JayB got a bird cage and accessories, then we went to Petland where I fell in love with a blue Indian Ringneck parrot and a rescued stray cat, unfortunately the parrot was a little out of my price range (only by $900 or so) and my landlord told me I could only have one cat, although I figure I might be able to talk him into letting me have another one, especially since the one I want is so pathetic-like, he's missing most of his tail (it got frozen off when he was a stray) and nobody wants him, except for me, of course, and he's so sweet, I want him real bad and I do have a birthday coming up after all. So, after we dropped Aaron off, went back to JayB's and set up the cage, then went back to the pet store and got the Love Birds (the ones that I loved at the first store). They are absolutely gorgeous, and so cute. JayB named the boy Diogenes and I named the girl Ecclesiastes, I've also decided that they are Lord and Lady, and that they are my babies (especially her). JayB likes to think they're his just 'cuz he paid for them and they live at his house, but he's horribly mistaken, I picked them out and they're mine. Ecclesiastes (Clia for short) is super sweet, she's quite mellow and very well behaved, Diogenes on the other hand, is simply a shit, and he bit me, then again, I can't really blame him. I've only been away from them for a few hours and I miss them already, at least I have Alexander and Charlie to help me deal with it, not that Charlie's much help, she's kind of a shit herself, but she does bless me when I sneeze, so I suppose that counts for something.
Last night we went for drinks at Alexander's, which proved to be a pretty good time, even though Jeremy didn't show. He'll regret it when he checks his voice mail, Jason and Lesley did a pretty good job of trying to fill it, call me.
Today was basically a waste, woke up noonish, talked to the birdies a bit then fell asleep watching them snuggle, actually got up around 6pm and what is there to do but watch the Academy Awards(as boring as they can be), so that's what happened (as boring as that is). Now I'm just hoping that I'll be able to get to sleep tonight, seeing as I really should get my ass to school tomorrow, not that I want to, but I should. Good God my life is boring, I officially pity anyone reading this, then again, if you're still reading, your life can't be much better, that's comforting, thanks.
I wish I had a piggy
Oh, and I should be sweet (because, of course, I am) and thank JayB for the link, although I'm unimpressed with his smartassed commentary, it's okay, I have faith that you all know which one of us speaks the truth. If not, I'll give you a hint; it's not him. His comments do help me in a way though, they prove that I win our ongoing disagreement, and not just 'cuz my song is better, but because I do.
